At Eco Serve Pest Services, protecting homes and outdoor spaces from pests has always been our primary focus — but supporting the community we serve is just as much a part of who we are.

Our partnership with Cradle Beach began last year through our donated pest management program, helping support their summer camp programming by creating a more comfortable outdoor environment for campers, families, and staff. And this summer, we had the opportunity to do something that reminded us exactly why that matters. On June 27th, 2026, our team partnered with Cradle Beach to plant a pollinator garden at the entrance of their brand-new sensory trail — and to provide complimentary pest management services across their camp throughout the season. It was one of those days where the work felt bigger than pest control, and we came away genuinely inspired by what Cradle Beach is building for kids and families across Western New York.

When the opportunity to partner with them came up, it was an easy yes.

June 27th: The Day We Built Something Together

Our morning started at Masterson's Garden Center, where our Service Manager Tristan and his wife Zoie — who works at Masterson's — helped us pick out and organize everything we'd be planting. We left with a van full of color: purple coneflowers, bee balm, blanket flowers, zinnias, soft lamb's ear, and several other pollinator-friendly plants chosen to bloom from early summer all the way through fall.

From there, the team made their way over to Cradle Beach.

The goal for the day was to plant a pollinator garden at the entrance of Cradle Beach's new sensory trail — a space where campers could pass through, engage with their surroundings, and watch a living garden grow alongside them throughout the summer. We wanted it to be beautiful, of course. But more than that, we wanted it to do something: attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, create a sensory-rich experience right at the trailhead, and give campers a small piece of nature they could call their own.

By the end of the morning, the garden was planted. Hopefully by the end of summer, it'll be buzzing.

A Comfortable Outdoor Environment, All Summer Long

Alongside the pollinator garden, Eco Serve also provided complimentary pest management services at Cradle Beach throughout the summer season. Our team treated for mosquitoes, ticks, stinging insects, and spiders — helping keep the camp's outdoor spaces more comfortable for campers, families, and staff as they moved through the grounds every day.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to explore and learn outdoors with fewer interruptions — and fewer pest-related ones at that. Reducing those distractions in a camp environment, especially one serving children with a wide range of sensory needs, felt like exactly the kind of contribution we could make.

It's also a good reminder of something we feel pretty strongly about: pest management isn't just about eliminating nuisances. At its best, it's about creating outdoor spaces where people — especially kids — can actually enjoy being outside.

Why Community Partnerships Like This Matter

One of the things we value most at Eco Serve is the ability to give back in ways that go beyond the services we provide. Community involvement has always been part of how we operate as a locally owned, woman-owned business in Western New York — and partnerships like the one we built with Cradle Beach are exactly what that looks like in practice.

Local nonprofits and local businesses have a lot to offer each other. Cradle Beach brought a mission we care about and a project we were glad to contribute to. We brought our team, our expertise, and a van full of perennials. Together, we created something that will outlast that single June morning and continue to grow throughout the season.
